Day 1- Oct 28 TORONTO - ROME
Overnight flight to Rome with Alitalia.
Day 2 - Oct 29 ROME
Early morning arrival in Rome. We will meet our guide and start our tour
of Rome. Visit ancient Roman ruins, the Coliseum, St. John Lateran where
we celebrate mass, St. Mary Major, St. Paul Outside the well, Holy Cross
of Jerusalem church. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 3 - Oct 30 ASSISI
We drive today to Assisi, the town of St. Francis and St. Claire. Visit
St.
Francis Basilica, Santa Chiara Church, Santa Maria Deli Angeli where we
celebrate Mass. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Oct 31 ROME
Exciting day. This morning we attend the Papal Audience, then visit to
the Vatican Museum and St. peter Basilica where we celebrate Mass.
Dinner and overnight in Rome.
DAY 5 - Nov 01 ROME - TEL-AVIV
Morning flight to Tel-Aviv where we meet our English speaking guide.
Drive to Jaffa for a welcome ceremony. Celebrate Mass at St. Peter
church.
Tour of Jaffa and Tel-Aviv. Dinner and overnight in Nataniya.
DAY 6 - Nov 02 CAESAREA-HAIFA-MEGIDO
We start our tour in the Holy Land with a drive north to Caesarea
Maritime where Peter meets Cornelius. Continue north to Mount Carmel
where Elijah challenged the false Gods of Baal. Here we will celebrate
Mass. A visit to the City Port of Haifa and continue to Megiddo (the source of our word Armageddon), where we peel off the
layers of
Civilization. Descending to the Shores of Sea of Galilee for dinner and
overnight in Tiberias.
DAY 7 - Nov 03 JESUS MINISTRY
We start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and view Magdala
home of Mary
Magdalene, visit Tabgha (miracle of the multiplication of fish and
loaves), Mount of
Beatitudes (Sermon of the Mount) where we celebrate Mass. Visit
Capernaum where Jesus visited the home of Peter. Lunch at a seaside
restaurant that features St. Peter Fish.
After lunch a drive north to Caesarea Philippi where Simon Peter
endorsed Jesus as the Son of God. View Mount Harmon. Return to our hotel
for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8- Nov 04 NAZARETH-CANA
A stop at the Jordan River the Yardenit to tell the Baptism story.
Continue to Cana the place of the first miracle of the Wine. Continue to
Nazareth the home town of the Holy Family. We celebrate Mass in the
Grotto under the Basilica that
is thought to be the home of Joseph and Mary. We leave the north and
drive south to the desert and visit with the Bedouin for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Nov 05 MASADA AND DEAD SEA
A fun day. We drive to Masada, and by Cable car we go up to the
fortress. Continue yo the Dead sea for a relaxing swim. On the way back we stop at Qumran with
the Dead
Sea Scrolls. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Mass in Jerusalem.
DAY 10 - Nov 06 GOLDEN JERUSALEM
We start another fascinating day from the Mount of Olives. On the Mount
we visit the
Mosque of the Ascension. Walk down the Mount of Olives toward Gethsemane
with a
stop to the Chapel of Dominus Flavit where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. A
visit to Gethsemane where Jesus prayed and was arrested. We enter into the
Old City through the
Lions Gate. View the Temple Mount and the Mosques. Visit the Western
Wall and put
A request in the between the stones. We walk the Via Dolorosa stopping
at the Pilate's Judgment Hall, also called the Antonia fortress, where
Pilate condemned Jesus to Death, and the station of the Cross on the way to the Church of the Holy
Sepulcher to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Mass at
the Holy Sepulcher. We visit the room of the Last supper and King David's
Tomb. Back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11 - Nov 07 BETHLEHEM - MODERN JERUSALEM
This morning we cross the border and drive to Bethlehem (if condition
will aloud) to visit
the Church of the Nativity. See the Church of St. Catharine under the
ancient monastery of St. Jerome where we celebrate Mass. Stop for lunch in an Arab
restaurant.
We return to Jerusalem and Continue to Yad Vashem the Holocaust Museum.
Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 12 - Nov 08 JERUSALEM
We visit this morning Ein Karem the birth place of John the Baptist and
the visitation site of Mary and Elizabeth. Tour the new city of
Jerusalem. Afternoon free for leisure.
Farewell Dinner and late transfer to airport for flight home.
DAY 13 - Nov 09 TORONTO
Arriving in Toronto in the afternoon.
