Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus are an international
fraternal organization of Catholic men who strive to
deepen their faith through prayer, strengthening of
family values and service to the parish community,
the diocese and the country. Our parish-based
council is involved in much fund raising for local
charities and the Knights are actively and
effectively involved in promoting the social life of
the parish hosting a number of dinners, dances and
other events throughout the year. Knights are also
involved in every aspect of the pastoral life of
Holy Rosary Parish often assisting people with rides
to mass, bringing communion to the sick, etc.
Members must be practical Catholics in union with
the Holy See (The Holy Father) and 18 years of age
or older. Practical Catholics are those who are
striving to live their lives in accordance with the
teachings of the Catholic Church. All candidates
fill out an application for membership in the
Knights.
Meetings are held once per month plus a monthly
meeting for those who serve on the executive. Full
membership in the Knights is a gradual process of
initiation. For further information consult the
website for the Holy Rosary Knights at

Youth Group
Holy Rosary ministers to the young people of the
parish through a team of young adults who organize
spiritual, educational and recreational activities
for the young people in the parish 13-19 years of
age. Events are held on Friday evenings once per
month. This ministry is a lot of fun for organizers
and participants alike.
We are a parish committed to involving young people
in every aspect of our parish life, encouraging our
youth to embrace apostolates of service to those in
need. This is promoted especially as our young
people prepare to celebrate the sacrament of
confirmation.
Familia
Familia stands for “Family Life in America” and is a
national apostolate of Catholic laity committed to
the well-being of the family. Its programs are
dedicated to fostering the development of religious,
moral, psychological and social values in the family
by:
• Assisting parents to develop a strong family
structure;
• Promoting harmony among all family members,
especially spouses;
• Motivating and assisting young people in their
journey toward religious, moral, psychological and
social maturity;
• Fostering an awareness of the need for Christ and
the Church in daily family life and shedding light
on ways of meeting that need;
• Promoting the teachings of the Church concerning
marriage and family
Because the relationship between the mother and
father is the cornerstone and therefore determines
the strength or weakness of the family, the two
primary programs of Familia are “Mothers of Young
Children and “Husbands and Fathers” programs. The
programs involve retreats, socials, the support of
professionals, guest speakers, media resources and a
serious of monthly study circles, quarterly
reflections with gust presentations |
