Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament
Volunteers in this Ministry of Prayer spend one hour
before the Blessed Sacrament in our Adoration Chapel
between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday
to Saturday and between 1:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on
Sunday. This Ministry of Prayer provides an
important spiritual basis for the life of our
parish, our family and our community. Individuals
who share in this ministry grow in their
relationship and love for the Lord, especially in
the Eucharist, and experience much inner peace and
joy. Volunteers are scheduled for adoration and
should be prepared to accept consistent time
commitments, with the possibility of several persons
being scheduled for specific hours.
Cursillo and Cursillo Ultreya
Cursillo is an adult faith formation weekend
designed to deepen the laity's sense of vocations
within the world. The weekend is an opportunity to
share faith and to discover ways in which God is
calling us to live our faith in our daily
environments. Cursillo candidates are sponsored by
someone who has completed the weekend. The Cursillo
usually begins on a Thursday evening and finishes on
Sunday afternoon. Both spouses are encouraged to
make a Cursillo. The men and women each have their
own Cursillo weekend.
A Cursillo Ultreya meets here on Saturday morning at
7:30 a.m. each week to continue their development as
Christian leaders.
